Blossom Dearie's second Verve album appears on CD for the first time here. This September 1957 quartet date with guitarist Herb Ellis, bassist Ray Brown, and drummer Jo Jones puts Dearie front and center on a selection of 12 tunes cannily designed to put across both her innate musicality and a winningly innocent sexuality, which peaks on the Cole Porter title track. Also completely winning are versions of songs as well known as "Just One of Those Things" and "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" and as obscure as "Bang Goes the Drum (And You're in Love)." --Rickey Wright
