Okay, so the title of this compilation pretty much gives the game away, but if you think One Offs, Remixes and B Sides is just another of those second rate, label cash-ins, comprising of best forgotten off cuts, think again: its a musically sound retrospective featuring some of Simon Green's best and lesser known musical works. Heading as far back as 1999, to the imposing breakbeats of "Scuba" and the cinematic subtleties of the "The Scillian"--originally released in limited numbers on vinyl only--it charts his musical progress from unknown to ad agency and chillout favourite. Hence the inclusion of his ubiquitous remix of Pilotes "Turtle" and Quantics remix of the "The Plug" (used by One 2 One and BT respectively) and soon-to-be chillout classics like "Dismantling Frank" and "Magicman". Tunes which have helped cement his reputation as one of Brighton's best loved musical exports. Needless to say if you liked Animal Magic then you'll love this. --Found Sounds
