The Backyardigans is an animated Nickelodeon program aimed at toddlers that features a cast of lovable preschool-age animals with a passion for imagination and backyard adventure. Singing Sensation is a selection of 20 music videos compiled from the first three seasons of the show. The music videos range in style from rock to reggae, jazz, country western, Broadway, hip-hop, and folk and are arranged into four general categories dubbed "Ahoy, Mateys," "Brave, Strong, and Full of Song," "Out of This World," and "Cowboys, Yetis, and Spies!" Each category features several musical adventures that include onscreen lyrics and fully animated action from the original program. Children ages 1 to 6 who already love Backyardigans songs will revel in the chance to listen, watch, and sing along to 36 minutes of favorites like "A Pirate Says ARRRR," "Ya Gotta Have Pirattitude," "Everything Is Filthy in Filthingham," "Intergalactic Garbage Trek," and "International Super Spy." Be forewarned, there are no new episodes of The Backyardigans on this DVD; it is simply a compilation of songs from previous episodes. --Tami Horiuchi
