This book is big. The subject well covered. The inconsistencies between browsers well documented....the newer browsers may have made improvements, but with so few people using them this book is still more accurate than any book designed to document the new browsers Javascript support.....I have used this book together with Javascript for the WWW to create some pretty amazing games which are played online. I use them to teach my Jr. High students and they love them.....I couldn't have done it without this book, and I needed little else to get me from "know nothing" to "Javascript guru" of the BOE.....If you want to know Javascript drink this book down and don't be afraid to make a few mixers too.

O'reillyの出版なので内容は充実していると思い、他の書籍は調べずに購入した。中身は実践編的な要素、ブラウザでの表示とそのソースコードというようなものは無いので、その点はクイックスターター向きではないと思う。ただ、全てのページに満遍なくたっぷりと字が埋まっており、購入者は得した気分になると思う。それらがそれぞれの関数なり何なりを詳しく説明しているので辞書代わりに大いに利用できると思う。
