On March 11, 2011,
the 9.0-magnitude earthquake hit the Japan coast, and generated Tsunami over 14 meters high, which struck the TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station.
This cartoon is about the explanation and instruction on the radiation, given by the specialists in the “Geiger Counter Meeting” held in Tokyo on June 11th, 3 months after the accident. People were still in the aftermath
then.
Now we are in March, 2013. I feel that Japan, having been through the turmoil of the accident, is getting back to original state, as recently, many of us are back to the normal life.
However, should any similar accident happen in somewhere in the world, I suppose our actions taken just after the accident could be of some help for the people in the future. That’s why I decided to put this material into
English.
