This is the best sight words book on Amazon. It includes all the Dolche words and themed words as well.

Dolche words are the common words we use all the time. In fact, we use these words 80% of the time. Many of these words are very difficult or impossible to sound out. Children must be able to recognize them if they are to become fluent readers.

This book contains the first 220 words that Professor Dolche identified as being essential for a child to know in order to become a reader. They are divided into five groups, Kindergarten, Preschool, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Grade sight words.

These are suggested levels but remember that every child is different. If your child is younger and wants to start learning to read...you can start them on the Kindergarten section. If they are older and haven't started to learn sight words, just start them on section 1. If they are experiencing success with the words, don't be afraid to advance them to the higher levels. The sooner they know these sight words the better.

As a bonus I have added themed sight words. They are not Dolche words, but commonly used words grouped together, e.g. family, objects, colors, numbers, verbs, describing words, pronouns etc. Not only will these words help your child with their reading, but they will expand their vocabulary as well.
