Rome is one of the most fascinating and beautiful cities in the world. From it's many fountains and ivy covered arches to it's cobbled walkways and ancient monuments there is always something more to see.

But, like any of the great cities of the world, there are so many more things to see and to do in this fascinating city if you have the time.

After you have seen the highlights of Rome, this book will help you to explore this amazing city a little further and discover some of the hidden gems in other areas of the city, and even just outside the city.

The focus of this book is to encourage you to go beyond the "must see" sights, like the Coliseum and St. Peters, and explore some of the other interesting areas of Rome. If you have been to Rome once, or even several times, and are ready to see "the rest" of Rome, this is your next book. All of the destinations in this book are different, and each one has its own unique charm.

I’ll show you the most interesting sights in each of these areas, as well as great restaurants to help you refuel after you finish exploring. We’ll see the groves left by ancient Roman chariots along the Appian Way and dine “al fresco” near the oldest church in Rome dedicated to the Virgin Mary in Trastevere.

But I should warn you: If the monuments of Rome didn't steal your heart, then the nightlife of Trastevere, the view from the Aventine Keyhole, or the gardens of the Villa Borghese probably will.
