日本語版はまだ出版されていませんが、ぜひ翻訳して欲しい内容です。妊娠しているときから幼児期までどんな風に脳が発達するのか詳細に書かれており、線をたくさん引きながら読みました。
生物学的に子供の脳には脂肪が必要であるとか言葉を覚えるのは名詞が先で動詞が後が理由などが丁寧に説明されていて、一人の母親としてとても役に立ちました。
一般的な育児本では物足りないな、と思っている人に特におすすめです。

Unfortunately, this book is not yet translated in Japanese, otherwise I would have recommended this to many of my Japanese mother-friends. There was so much information that seemed relevant to me that I underlined many pages.
Explanations of why a child's brain needs fat for development, why nouns come first and verbs towards the end were brilliantly detailed. It has been one of the most useful books as a novice mother.
I would recommend this to those who feel wanting with generic parenting books.
