The difference between the Discworld and other interminable fantasy series (Wheel of Time Book 29: R'and-al Thor Goes Hawaiian) is the sheer size and potential for the world that Pratchett shapes. There is always room for more stories, there is always room for more characters. It's no different here - although it's a Susan Sto Helit story on the surface, it's really about Lobsang Ludd and Lu-Tze, the History Monk apprentice and the Master Sweeper, who are on the way to stop the Auditors from building the most accurate time piece ever made, one that can measure the smallest tick of time ever... and in the process stop Time itself.

Along the way, we meet with Death, Nanny Ogg, the other horsemen of the Apocalypse (and the fifth one, Ronnie, who left before they became famous). We are also introduced to the way time works on Discworld, which is, as you might imagine, different from us as everything else is. Subtly philosophical, and always able to bring a smile, if not outright laughter, the 26th Discworld book shows no sign of losing any steam. More, please.
