“The Little Match Girl” is a short tale by Hans Christian Andersen which given a lovely ending in this charming adaptation by Tony Dalton. It tells the story of, on a cold New Year's Eve, a young, poor girl trying to sell matches in the street. Cold and shivering she is afraid to go home because her father will beat her for not selling any matches. Then, in this version, her life is changed by the intervention of an old man.
