The sky is falling
down.

And all her life, Aven has been trained to prevent it from collapsing completely. As a keeper of her underwater empire, her blood is laced with the magic that allows her to seal the 'sky', to reinforce the barrier that holds the great Sea-Above in place.

But that sea has never liked being restrained.

And now strange things are happening in the western corners of the empire.

There are rumors of increasingly broken skies. Rising flood waters. Of a tidal wave of destruction that is spreading, racing toward Aven's own peaceful, glittering kingdom. She may be the only one who can stop that wave. But to do that, she will have to fight her way through rioting kingdoms and overcome dangerous magic, all while guarding herself--and her heart in particular--against the mysterious hunter trying to stop her.

Time is growing shorter.

The sky is growing darker.

Can Aven somehow keep it from breaking apart and drowning her entire world?
