Just a school! This is not just a school. For over 100 years this ‘school’ has dealt with disobedient and rebellious young women. While most of the students would tell you that that description did not properly describe her, somebody felt she was not being properly obedient, or maybe just wanted her out of the way.

So, how does an institution such as this deal with such a potentially difficult population? Most modern girls would just run away, or at least refuse to obey and show their contempt in a loud tantrum. At Wymount Academy that only results in a very painful bottom.

Julie was going to take a quick look and then politely decline to stay. She had agreed with her stepmother to a two week test stay, but she hoped she could even shorten that. Ok, two weeks was not so long. Even though Julie was now an adult, her stepmother still controlled all the money, so, Julie needed to keep her happy. So it was political to go take a look. What harm could come from that?

What harm indeed. Julie learned that once behind the imposing walls of the school, a girl lost all control. With its heavy iron gates and barred windows, Wymount feels more like a prison or asylum. If that is not enough, students are all dressed in very embarrassing uniforms (something for much younger girls) and, if that was not sufficiently humiliating, and to Julie’s dismay, the girls are usually restrained and are always kept under strict control.

Why would a modern young woman like Julie put up with such a place? A simple and time tested formula, any infraction – no matter how small – is punished. The strap or tawse is always close at hand for minor defalcations, but more serious offenses draw the cane, normally it is the junior cane, but for the ultimate punishment there is the senior cane.
Strapped down securely there is no way to avoid the painful, relentless, strike of the cane. The results are clearly visible on the back side of each young woman. The uniforms are designed to embarrassingly display the students’ red striped bottoms. It is amazing what happens to behavior when escape is not an option and pain, unimaginable pain, is always close at hand.

Almost immediately Julie wanted to leave. But, by then it was too late.

Travel with Julie to Wymount Academy, a very different school. She knows instantly that she has made a terrible mistake. Can she figure a way to get out? Who will help her? Can she get word to one or more of her friends, or her boy friend? Will they come to her aid? If not, how can she even retain her sanity?
