A report on the punishment methods and case histories of punishments administered at a strict women’s prison. Corporal punishment is not only approved, but is often the method of first resort. Inmates who break the rules there are in fact dealt with very severely. This includes sentences of corporal punishment to the bare skin with a large paddle, and/or a heavy leather strap.
