A millionaire dies while engaged in sado-masochistic sex with his mistress (Madonna) and she is accused of murdering him with her over-developed sexual desires. Lawyer Frank Dulaney (William Dafoe) takes her case, but also becomes involved with her, a dangerous position to be in when his faith in her innocence is shaken.
