It's 1990 and twenty-three-year-old Dave Burrows has returned from agricultural college full of ideas and plans to improve the family's farm. But his father sees only extravagance in his son's innovations and Dave is pushed to the outer while his older brothers, Dean and Adam, find their father's favour. Dean's approaching wedding has everyone on edge and the tensions erupt, causing Dave's life to veer in an unexpected direction.
