Former Detective Martin Rhodes spent ten years in prison for murder. Upon his release he travels from town to town in search of employment and a new life. An unexpected call takes him to the Town of Parish. His ex-wife's current husband is charged for murder and she wants Rhodes to help exonerate him of the crime.
