About the Author
Bob Olson is a semi-retired engineer that likes to spend more time outdoors than in. He lives in South Carolina with his wife and two dogs. Besides backpacking, Bob loves to bird watch, walk the dogs, and volunteer at the local Greenway. Hiking the Appalachian Trail was a huge achievement on Big Bob’s “Life List” (his wife does not like the term “Bucket List”) and it was fun to relive the experience when writing this book. Some remaining items on his “Life List” are hiking the “John Muir Trail” in California, visiting the continents of Australia and Antarctica (already visited the other five), and writing a book (✓).
