There is more to the Christian life than being born-again. When Peter writes about the salvation of the soul, his thought is not limited to life in heaven, but is very much concerned with life on earth. For Peter, the salvation of the soul is the goal of our faith. It consists of robust spiritual health, in which the believer has the life of Christ expressed through him.
