These sensors send signals to the control panel whenever a magnet placed close to the sensor moves away from it. This happens when anybody tries to open it. In this manner the alarm alerts the person of an imminent danger. The 2GIG DW10-345 Wireless Thin Door or Window Sensor works with a sensor and a magnet. The sensor is attached on the frame of the window or door and the magnet is placed either on the door or window. This leads to the creation of a circuit between the two. When the circuit is broken due to opening of the door or window a signal is transmitted to the control panel indicating an attempt to break into the house.
