Understand business continuity, using ISO22301

Providing a comprehensive introduction to the topic, the author explains how to develop and implement a business continuity and disaster recovery plan based on ISO22301, the international standard for best practice in BCM. He explains how to develop a management system based on these principles that ensures you can get back on your feet with the minimum of fuss, should the unthinkable happen.

Practical advice and detailed guidance

The book is full of illustrative examples and practical guidance on developing and implementing a BCM system. It discusses business impact analysis (BIA) and risk assessment in the context of business continuity and outlines key areas of BCM including strategy, procedures, testing, evaluation and improvement. A BCM policy and other useful document templates are provided in the appendices.

ISO22301 certification for peace of mind

ISO22301 certification is likely to become the benchmark for judging how a business will cope with severe operational problems and disasters. The author shows that certifying to the ISO22301 standard gives you peace of mind, reassures your customers and business partners and helps you meet any legal obligations for disaster contingency planning.
