Travis Tritt doesn't fit the mold of the '90s country star. His music reflects his persona. He's longhaired rather than clean-cut; leathered rather than blue-jeaned; brash rather than polite. His second album, It's All About to Change, is where he put it all together. Subtle production flourishes highlight Tritt's hearty voice on ballads such as "Anymore." Just as importantly, he infuses a raucous playfulness into a rocker like "The Whiskey Ain't Workin'" and the witty, mid-tempo kiss-off "Here's a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)." It's here that Tritt emerged as the slightly more reconstructed cousin of Hank Williams Jr., a persona he wears well. --Michael McCall
