In the late summer of 1943 Nazi Germany’s defences are crumbling.

The Nazi hierarchy has begun to see the writing on the wall, and Heinrich Himmler, Reichsfuehrer of all the German police forces, takes steps to ensure his own survival if the worst comes to the worst. To this end he employs his most trusted aide, beautiful but deadly Anna Fehrbach, to courier large sums of money into Switzerland.

Himmler is well aware that Anna Fehrbach’s background is strongly anti-Nazi, but he trusts her absolutely because ever since March 1938 he has held her parents as hostages for her loyalty.

What Himmler does not know is that although she is only twenty-three years old, Anna has for four years been a double agent, working for the British SIS and now the American OSS in her determination to bring the Nazis down . . .
