だんだんとキャラクターがかっこよく、たくましくなっていく。
そんな作品。

今回もアル=ソアは闇王と対決するが、
1部、2部よりもはるかにたくましく、そしてかっこよくなっている。
最後の叫びはとても印象に残った。

その他のメイン人物。異能者候補の3人組、
そしてマット、ペリンの成長もとても見ごたえのあるものであった。

ページ数は少なめだが、
まるで別世界にいるような感覚を味わえた。
べたなファンタジーの展開に飽き飽きしてきた人にはお勧めだ。

I liked the first two books, but enough is enough. It's time to wrap up this epic. Unfortunately, this book seems unable to approach any kind of climax: the "dark lord" vs. good guy match-up is apparently many volumes away and most of the plot lines seem to drivel on, or else they are forgotten. Jordan says on the jacket he'll keep writing till he's in his grave. I guess he's referring to this series! Wait and see if he actually finishes the thing before you invest your time in this. Meanwhile, there are much better fantasy epics out there.

この本は、tWoTの第３部です。この本において、やっと Randは正式にDragon Rebornになったと言える でしょう。面白いことに、この本はそんなにRandは 重要じゃありませんが。ほかのキャラクター、例えば、 PerrinやMatなどのほうが多く書かれています。 この本においてもはじめてMatの魅力が全開します。 これからMatがtWoTの一番魅力ある男性になるのは、 この本が原点かもしれません。
