Sample recipe:
PIÑA COLADA
This cocktail is Puerto Rico’s official drink, and the inspiration to a famous song (“Escape” by Rupert Holmes). It is not as strong as other cocktails while it still brings that special vibe.

Servings: 1
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons of white rum (30 ml / 1 fl oz.)
2 Tablespoons coconut cream (30 ml / 1 fl oz.)
6 Tablespoons pineapple juice (90 ml / 3 fl oz.)
Crushed ice
A pineapple slice and a cherry to garnish

Procedure:
Using a bar spoon, mix the rum, coconut cream, pineapple juice and the crushed ice in a large chilled goblet until it’s smooth. Garnish with the pineapple slice and cherry and serve in a hurricane glass. Imagine you're on a Puerto Rican beach and sip away.

Tips:
Can’t get coconut cream? Try evaporated milk instead. You’ll be making the Belize version of the cocktail.

You can substitute the rum with amaretto, Midori (“Iguana Colada”), Kahlua, vodka (the “Chi Chi”) or Amarula (the “Marula Colada”).

For absolute luxury, make the “Lava Flow” by mixing together a Strawberry Daiquiri (see the Daiquiri recipe) and a Piña Colada.
