At first I must say that I didn't read the original Japanese version. But I do watch the TV anime and Chinese translation of this novel.
As a whole series, it is really a spectacular story, as delclared "space opera". But I think it is a little unreasonable Jint must stay at the "ground world" to help the prisoners there. And as one volume of a long, spectacular series, this volume doesn't really weigh that much.
Anyway, I love the scene when Rafeel talk with Jint (and Diaho:P) at last. Personally I'll treat is an important branch line instead of the main stream of the story.

星界の戦旗、第二弾！幻炎作戦が終了し、第二段階の狩人作戦に移行した星界軍。しかしラフィール達のバースロイルは艦隊を離れ、とある星系の領事代行をすることになった。不平たらたらのラフィールだが退屈なはずのこの任務が思わぬ展開に！ちなみにラフィールの弟がちょっこりでます。戦闘シーンは少ないですが、最後は緊迫な展開になります。余談ですがアニメ版は面白かったな～。
