マチルダを読んで次にこれを読みました。ボリュームが少ないのと、マチルダに出てくる単語が、繰り返し出てくるので前回より辞書の出番が少なかったです。英語を母国語としている子供も繰り返して読んで覚えていくんでしょうね。
　私にとってこの作品の面白さは、お得意の意地悪さと、薬を作る過程のテンポのよさ。
　ロアルド・ダールのこの毒気にはまって、普通の作品が物足りなくなってしまいました。

ジョージの作る薬は、ドラえもんよりはるかに強力だ。いやなおばあちゃんを小さくして無くしてしまう薬をのませるなんて。今の日本ではみんなが行っているのに公言したら袋だたきにあうんだろうな。。。
